With citizen media and democratized media, we are seeing an ever-increasing amount of content. Niche sites are now delivering better information than news organizations that have been around for decades and information can be exchanged at the drop of a hat.
So what does this mean for journalism and journalists? Dan Gilmor is the director of the Knight Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. He says there will be no shortage of journalism in the future, but there are many ways we need to improve journalism at all levels.
