The Supreme Court has seen it all in its long history of helping the Constitution work and contributing to the checks and balances on the American system. Discussed during this February 2010 lecture by Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer at Yale Law School are key moments in the history of the Court that have created public acceptance of it’s decisions and challenges the Court has overcome in gaining this public acceptance.
Breyer was appointed by President Bill Clinton as a Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. He has taught as a Harvard Law Professor, served as a special assistant to the United States Assistant Attorney General for Antitrust and was on the Watergate Special Prosecution Force.
