We have entered an age where communication connects us all. Globalization is here to stay. But what does that mean for us as a society? Globalization brings about big changes in the way we operate and think, so what are the pros and cons of these changes?

Anthony Giddens discusses these questions at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. Giddens is a former advisor to Tony Blair and the Director of the London School of Economics. He is a leading sociologist and author of books such as, Capitalism and Modern Social Theory and New Rules of Sociological Method.
