Biomimicry is the idea of looking to nature to solve human problems. Architect Michael Pawlyn says the answer to sustainability is biomimicry. He states that in order to accomplish our sustainability goals we need to do three things: increase our resource efficiency, shift from a linear to closed loop resource users, and adopt a solar over fossil fuel economy. He gives examples of his work in sustainable architecture and how he solved tough problems through biomimicry.
