This course looks at the entire aircraft system, covering topics like: basic systems engineering; cost and weight estimation; basic aircraft performance; safety and reliability; lifecycle topics; aircraft subsystems; risk analysis and management; and system realization. The course also features a new guest lecturer almost every session. During the course students are also broken up into small teams to do analyze the Space Shuttle. These oral and written reports are delivered to the class, and students also develop new subsystem designs using state of the art technology.
